  • John! Quick. Move yet another mountain. Sierra Leone was one of the first countries to ask for Peace Corps volunteers. A former Sierra Leone volunteer really should be going to the inauguration, preferably from Sierra Leone 1. (Actually, the entire Sierra Leone 1 group should be going, no?)

  • Yes, Mary-Ann. It would be so symbolic, emphasizing perhaps a subtle move to the foreign policy approach of JFK, based on appreciation and friendship, which coming from a powerful somebody, has meaning for everyone in the world, I think. Let’s hope that the selection of these officials, with PC sensibiities, signals a “New Day, Dawning”. With only a week to go, Sierra Leone-1, or however many are left, better get their tickets ! • The icing on the cake would be to send RPCV Patrice Failor (Sierra Leone 83-85) also known as Mrs. James Comey!!!!
