  • By disabling the chat and mics and not having public comments, the Board missed an opportunity to have the conversation regarding Glenn’s dismissal: explaining why and permitting some discussion. I came away with two concerns/ recommendations regarding operations: (1) that the Board establishes a system of internal controls and oversight over financial operations, by an independent Board member–it’s just good stewardship, and the annual audit, which reviews relatively few transactions, is not a substitute, and (2) that the Board monitors how the funds are used. One issue that arose was whether it is acceptable (legally and morally) to use “Legacy” funds for office operations (buying supplies, paying salaries and rent, the cost of a CEO search, etc.).
