Jill Tracy Jacobs Biden
She has a bachelor’s degree and a doctoral degree from the University of Delaware, as well as master’s degrees from West Chester University and Villanova University. She taught English and reading in high schools for thirteen years and instructed adolescents with emotional disabilities at a psychiatric hospital.
From 1993 to 2008, she was an English and writing instructor at Delaware Technical & Community College. Since 2009, she has been a professor of English at Northern Virginia Community College.

How would she do this if she keeps to her stated desire to keep on being a full time teacher? Sorta in the same vein as President Obama on the Supreme Court … most certainly qualified, sounds good, clearly would put the Peace Corps close to the seat of power, but what both she and President Obama are doing is already a full time, valuable job. My first choice continues to be Kathy Corey.
She would make a perfect choice! The article hit all the reasons “right on the money.”
Great choice, Mr. Coyne. To say that First Lady Dr. Jill Biden would be a fantastic Peace Corps Director is a win/ win scenario and “truly a match made in heaven”. For one, the highest percentage of volunteers, about 40%, serve Peace Corps in the Education sector. And who understands students of different races, colors and creeds then Dr. Biden? I am both an RPCV and Veteran. I belong to a group called the Student Veterans of America. On February 19th, Dr. Biden was one of the one our keynote speakers. Dr. Biden spoke about “Joining Forces” and “Let Girls Learn” and some of the programs that she worked on with former First Lady Michelle Obama during the Obama Administration years. Bravo, John. Great choice!
I agree that she already has a job that is important and further that PC’s problem over the yearrs
has not been the Executive Branch (last 4 years a large exception) but rather the Congress. Need
to get increase funding to grow and meet needs. Ethiopia (62-64)

I have no doubt that she would be an excellent PC director. Timing is crucial and it is not time.The saying goes in Real Estate, “location, location, location .”
Her current location will serve her as well for the future.
No doubt, whoever becomes the next PC director can build a relationship with her to promote PC values, advocate for the support of PC in DC and around the world, and help create an inclusive diverse organization that educates all players both here and abroad.
