Submission guidelines
For publication with the Peace Corps Writers imprint
We welcome original manuscript submissions for consideration to be published under the Peace Corps Writers imprint from any author who is connected to the Peace Corps and our shared values of service and global partnership. We heavily favor books that uphold our mission of improving cross-cultural understanding, across all genres.
Please submit your proposal to our editorial director Greg Emerson (RPCV Morocco 2003, Peru 2003-05) at gregemerson@peacecorpsworldwide.org that includes:
- Your connection to the Peace Corps
- A brief description of your project and what professional editing, if any, has been done
- A chapter list with a brief description of each chapter’s contents
- A sample of up to 30 pages, taken from any part of the manuscript you choose
Our editorial board will review your submission and request a full manuscript if the work appears to be a good fit.
Books that are selected for inclusion on the Peace Corps Writers imprint will be issued an ISBN and Library of Congress Control Number that associates the book with our catalog, as well as a digital logo file for the book cover.
For a book announcement in the PCWW Newsletter

For a book review in the PCWW Newsletter
We occasionally review books published by authors connected with the Peace Corps, whether they are explicitly about the Peace Corps experience or not, on the Peace Corps Worldwide newsletter on Substack. To have your book considered for a review, please include the following in an email to our review coordinator Cindy Mosca at cnmosca69@gmail.com.
- Whether you can provide a physical or digital copy of your book to a reviewer
- The name, publisher, publication date and genre of the book
- A one-sentence pitch to describe the book that will make a reviewer want to review it
- Your connection to the Peace Corps (country and years of service for RPCVs)
Please note that the final review will reflect the opinions of the reviewer, and that not all books will receive positive reviews. That said, our reviews do not include any judgments like a star rating, but aim to provide readers with an understanding of the reading experience and whether a particular book is right for them.
