The posts in Notes from the Rainbow Room are written by Ralph Cherry (Ghana 1969–71), a man who is living a life deeply informed and shaped by at least two things: he is gay, and he was not only a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2+ years, but he has outdone just about everyone else by ending up with a 28-year career working for the Peace Corps. Through the unique prism of these two salient features — plus whichever others may also be at work, he will be writing about almost anything.

Hey! I know this is somewhat off-topic but I needed to ask.
Does running a well-established blog such as yours take a massive amount work?
I'm completely new to writing a blog but I do write in my diary every day. I'd like to start a blog so
I can easily share my experience and thoughts
online. Please let me know if you have any kind of suggestions or tips for
new aspiring bloggers. Appreciate it!

Yes, needle-using, buggering, twisted perverts do contract HIV and hepatitis. It's an occupational hazard of being queer. The question is, must the rest of us pay the cost of others' poor and unsanitary persoal habits? Homos are trying to persuade us that theirs is a lifestyle choice, protected by "pursuit of happiness" in Constitutional Law. If theirs is truly a free choice lifestyle, they should then bear oersonal responsibility, and not pass the buck onto us. On a more serious note, we are about to become the first nation in history to pass into insolvency due to corruption of the health care system. It's high time we began to practice a little triage.

Message to Congress: Get off your butts and do the job we sent you to Washington to do! You have more vacation time, sick leave, insurance coverage, salaries than the average worker will see in a life time! Worst of all, you have voted these benefits to yourselves! Shame on you! Most of you have never worried about where your next pay check is coming from, or how you are going to pay the mortgage, let alone how you will send your kids to college. Stop acting like spoiled brats, and do your jobs! Stop catering to the fat cats who supported your campaigns, and start thinking about where America is going. Republican or Democrat, liberal or conservative, stop the BS, and make something happen! Anything is better than the nothing that has been going on for months. Americans need jobs to get our ecomony back where it should be. Please! Do something!!
