When will the Obama team learn that health insurance companies do not write the bills, they pay them. Escalating costs for health care come from those supplying services and products, not the bill payer. Obama’s key theory, that controlling the insurance companies’ rates will force the suppliers to cut prices, has about as much chance as HMOs did previously. As soon as the insurance company says it will not pay good old Doc Sawbone’s bill because it is too much, the public will be up in arms.
Meanwhile let’s push down Geico’s rates to make Harry’s Garage charge less to fix a dent.
