I can only entice them with my sweet water.  I cannot force them to come or to stay.  Usually I do not even ask them, or will them, so clearly I do not plead or beg.  If I want them to return I appeal to their needs, on their terms.  I give, and they give in return.  There are no takers in this equation.

Once here I appreciate what they offer, and I do not expect what they cannot give.  It is a far more fulfilling and natural relationship than those we often cultivate, you know what kind I mean, the ones based on guilt, and manipulation, and sometimes even exploitation.

Our expectations could not be more simple or basic.  I need their beauty and their grace, and they need my sweet water.
