The start of the new semester at Penn plus a full workload at the office has kept me from updating as much as I had hoped. But to demonstrate my contrition, I am posting an interview with the Director of the Gori Regional Education Fund, a former PCV who decided to roll up her sleeves after the 2008 war between Russia and Georgia to provide a needed service.

Georgia is increasingly on the radar screens of everyone from businesspeople to tourists to politicians these days. This small but culturally vast Caucasian republic is an ancient land caught in the tides of a tribal history, geopolitical intrigue, democratization and a brutal post-Soviet legacy.
