Dustin Ooley lived in Seattle and taught fourth-grade gifted students in the Everett School District. His job was going well and he was ooley-jgaining experience, leadership skills, and forming strong relationships with his colleagues. He was spending his weekends in coffee shops writing papers for an online graduate program and, in Spring 2007, he received his master’s degree in reading curriculum and instruction. Life was good; and then he left.

Now he is a Peace Corps Volunteer, teaching English as a foreign language at a college in Anshun, Guizhou. He’s been teaching there for nearly two years.
