Some of my students at Wa School for the Deaf getting water.

The historical chief’s palace in Wa.

Spot the Peace Corps Volunteer (me) next to a baobab tree on the campus of Wa School for the Deaf.

One of the larger mosques in Wa.

Here, Christie is cooking fried rice. She was a housemother at Wa Deaf, a very good friend, and my sign language tutor. I think most Peace Corps Volunteers have a Christie, someone who welcomes you into your site with an unreserved open heart, and who makes your time there so much more wonderful.
