  • I really enjoyed the story. As a software engineer for most of my career, I can really identify with the protagonist.

    A manager never attempted to take my name, but they took my ideas regularly and my code occasionally, passing it off as their own. If I complained I’d most likely miss the next “regular” pay raise my colleagues got.

    Rather than digging the hole I would have been driving that orange tractor, one of those smaller old ones without a cab. Or maybe taking a long walk in the woods with a dog.
